Rent a projector

Want to rent a projector or TV screen?

Renting a projector is often necessary when you want to give a presentation to a group of people and TV screens aren't sufficient. Besides the smaller projection surface of a TV, renting a TV screen is often more expensive than renting a projector. Furthermore, you can move a projector yourself, as it's compact. The projector comes in a carrying case, preventing damage when you rent it and want to move it during the rental period.

A TV screen is delivered in a flight case including a tripod and must therefore automatically be transported by bus or truck.

The advantage of renting a TV screen over a projector is that a TV screen is less affected by light. Furthermore, the image on a TV screen is often sharper, and the speaker or presenter won't have to walk through the projection while presenting.

Connecting to a projector

Nowadays, laptops and tablets offer a wide variety of connection options. This makes it crucial to have the correct connection for your projector. Various connections have emerged in recent years. Fortunately, HDMI or VGA are currently the primary means of displaying images. When renting a projector, it's helpful to let the rental company know if you're using a MacBook. MacBooks are usually not equipped with a VGA or HDMI connection. Therefore, you'll need to reserve a Thunderbolt to HDMI adapter when renting a projector. By letting us know in advance, we'll ensure you have the correct cabling.

If you're not entirely sure which connection you need, we've provided an overview of the various connections in the image on the left. If you're renting a projector, we're always happy to provide you with appropriate advice.

Expanding the projector

When you rent a projector from Riddersma Events, we strive to take care of everything for you. This means you won't have to worry about the necessary cables and batteries to get the projector working as you wish. Riddersma Events projectors come standard with the following items:

  • The correct connection (HDMI cable, VGA cable)
  • A power cable for connecting the projector
  • An extension cord for the power
  • A pointer so you don't have to stand near the laptop during the presentation.

You can also rent the projector with an audio system, allowing you to broadcast the video audio to your audience. If the room is large enough that you need amplification for speaking, or if you're a naturally soft-spoken speaker, you can also rent a headset. For specific advice on this matter, we recommend contacting our rental department to discuss the options.

Presentation

Renting a projector is often used for presentations. When you rent a projector, you can display the presentation on a large screen. By displaying the presentation on a screen via a projector, you can further engage your audience. If you're using a lot of images and videos in your presentation, renting a projector is highly recommended. Without a projector, many people won't see or understand everything. You can use various programs to display the presentation on the projector you rent from us. Think of a PowerPoint presentation on a Windows laptop or a presentation created with Keynote on a MacBook.
